One of the biggest advantages for Atlantic City is the department's continued investment in modern public safety technology.

Combined with technologies such as license plate readers and ShotSpotter, these systems have become valuable force multipliers, allowing officers to monitor key areas throughout the city and respond more effectively when incidents occur. The department has also added a state-of-the-art $1.6 million Mobile Command Center, funded entirely through Hotel Tax revenues.
