Officers from the Atlantic City Police Department participated in the “Stronger Together” Youth Summit, an event hosted by the Atlantic City Police Athletic League (PAL) under its H.Y.V.E. Male Mentor Program. The summit aimed to guide young people through discussions centered on decision-making, community support, and real-world challenges faced by local youth.
NCO Officer White and Officer Dabney, joined by K-9 Officer B. Dooley and Narcotics Officer A. Vallez, represented the department during the gathering. Throughout the event, officers engaged directly with youth participants and addressed critical issues, including drug use, gang involvement, and the long-term impact of risky behavior.
According to the department, the summit provided an important space for honest conversations between law enforcement and young community members. Officers shared practical guidance and insights drawn from field experience, emphasizing the importance of making informed and positive choices.

The summit not only served as an educational opportunity but also strengthened ongoing relationships between ACPD, local organizations, and the communities they serve. The officers’ participation reinforced the department’s commitment to youth outreach and proactive engagement.
Organizers described the event as a collaborative effort. The Atlantic City PAL, the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City, and several community partners worked together to deliver a program designed to encourage leadership, accountability, and resilience among local youth.
By the conclusion of the summit, both officers and participants expressed appreciation for the open dialogue and shared commitment to creating a safer, more supportive environment for young people in Atlantic City.
