A great city is about creating opportunities for people to connect, stay active and build lifelong memories. That's exactly what the City of Atlantic City's Recreation Division does every day.
Serving youth and adults, the Recreation Division has become one of the city's most valuable community resources, offering more recreational opportunities than ever before while promoting healthy lifestyles, teamwork and community pride.
For Atlantic City's youth, recreation goes far beyond basketball. Today, children can participate in football, baseball, soccer, archery, surfing, rowing, tennis, track and field, cheerleading and more, ensuring every child has the opportunity to discover a passion.

The division has also forged partnerships with nationally recognized organizations, bringing both the NFL Flag and Jr. NBA programs to Atlantic City and providing young athletes with high-quality instruction and unique opportunities close to home. Atlantic City Recreation has also expanded opportunities for girls by introducing the city's first organized lacrosse and field hockey programs in partnership with Eyekonz Sports, giving young athletes access to sports that previously had limited availability.
Beyond athletics, family-centered events like the Daddy Daughter Dance and programs such as Girls Table Talk create meaningful opportunities for families to connect while empowering young women through mentorship and conversation.
Adults also have plenty of opportunities to stay active through softball leagues, fitness classes, game nights, wellness programs and other recreational activities that encourage healthy living and social connection.

Every new program, every community event and every child who discovers a new passion through recreation helps make Atlantic City an even better place to live, work and invest.
