The Community Health Fair at Baltic Plaza brought residents and healthcare providers together for a day of support and wellness. Thanks to community partnerships, essential health resources were made accessible to the people of Atlantic City.

Residents at Atlantic City Townehouse participated in the Second Cooking & Nutrition Class, where they explored the benefits of fruits, practiced kitchen techniques, and enjoyed fresh smoothies. This session emphasized making healthier choices while celebrating the diversity of food traditions.

The City of Atlantic City Multicultural Services hosted its first Tai Chi class at Community Haven, offering participants an introduction to this gentle, meditative practice focused on balance, relaxation, and mindfulness. The class set a calm and promising tone for the upcoming sessions.

Atlantic City residents joined Penn Museum’s CultureFest on March 15th to celebrate Holi — a day filled with music, dance, cultural exhibits, and delicious samosas.

Residents of Atlantic City Townehouse took part in the city’s first Nutrition & Cooking class, learning healthy eating tips and enjoying a freshly prepared, nutritious meal.

We wrapped up Black History Month with a visit to AAMP, where we explored the powerful stories of Audacious Freedom and the stunning artistry of Shared Vision. This experience was a profound reminder of the resilience and beauty of Black history and culture.

This Black History Month, we honor Mary McLeod Bethune, an educator and civil rights leader whose work in education and advocacy transformed lives and continues to inspire change today.

The Chinese New Year celebration with IMUSA was nothing short of magical! Guests came together to enjoy games, food, music, and dance, embracing the rich traditions of this special holiday. With laughter, culture, and connection at the heart of the event, we couldn’t have asked for a better way to welcome the Year of the Snake!

We recently had the privilege of attending the First Ward Civic Association Meeting, where we connected with local residents, shared valuable resources, and discussed important community topics. Engaging with our community is a powerful way to understand their needs and work together toward positive change. Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation!

As 2024 ended, Atlantic City celebrated a year of progress under Mayor Marty Small Sr.’s leadership. The city achieved 94% of its 124 goals, including a fifth consecutive tax decrease, improvements in public safety, and major infrastructure upgrades. Looking ahead, projects like the City Hall Courtyard and Pop Lloyd Stadium renovations, along with the launch of the Great Day Atlantic City initiative, signal continued growth. Mayor Small highlighted the importance of collaboration in these successes and looks forward to an even brighter 2025.

Congratulations to the graduates of the Intro to Basic Spanish course, a highlight of the City of Atlantic City’s Multicultural Services in 2024! This popular, free course has helped residents build language skills and foster connections within the city’s diverse community. The program reflects the city’s commitment to empowering residents and strengthening community bonds. With 2025 approaching, we look forward to more innovative programs to help Atlantic City grow and thrive.
