In the true spirit of the holiday season, the Atlantic City Senior Services Division, in partnership with the City’s CDBG Office, hosted its second annual Food Box Giveaway. This event provided 500 pre-registered residents with turkeys, hams, and all the festive trimmings for a holiday feast. Additionally, the Senior Services Division, with support from the city’s homeless outreach team, delivered 500 hot meals to senior living facilities, generously donated by Kelsey’s Atlantic City. This initiative highlights the city's commitment to supporting residents and fostering a sense of community care during the holidays.

As we prepare for the New Year, Atlantic City Recreation proudly recognizes the outstanding contributions of our 2024 Staff Members of the Year. Sakiyah ‘Noonie’ Quick has been named Full-Time Staff Member of the Year for her exceptional dedication, while Efrain ‘Cookie’ Morales earns the title of Part-Time Staff Member of the Year for his remarkable work ethic. The Atlantic City Police Department celebrates Officers Dylan Imbrenda and Kenlyn Johnson for completing the rigorous 80-hour Highway Patrol Motorcycle Training program, hosted by the Philadelphia Police Department. Officer Imbrenda earned the prestigious Brian Delorenzo Award for achieving a perfect score on the road course, while Officer Johnson made history as the department’s second female motorcycle operator. This holiday season, the Atlantic City Fire Department, in partnership with the American Red Cross New Jersey Region and Mighty Writers volunteers, made a life-saving impact in the Ducktown neighborhood through the Sound the Alarm Home Fire Campaign. Together, they ensured homes were equipped with working smoke alarms and provided residents with essential emergency preparedness education. As 2024 ended, Atlantic City celebrated a year of progress under Mayor Marty Small Sr.’s leadership. The city achieved 94% of its 124 goals, including a fifth consecutive tax decrease, improvements in public safety, and major infrastructure upgrades.
