The future of any city depends on the success of its young people. That's why the City of Atlantic City's Youth Services Division is committed to giving every child the opportunity to succeed.
Atlantic City Youth Services was created with a simple but powerful mission: to empower young people through life-enhancing programs that foster leadership, build confidence and prepare them for success both inside and outside the classroom.
Since its inception, the division has introduced a wide range of free extracurricular programs for students in grades K-12, providing opportunities that encourage academic achievement, creativity, personal growth and positive decision-making.
Recognizing that not every child is drawn to athletics, Youth Services has built programs that extend far beyond sports.
Students can explore STEM education, robotics and hands-on science and technology experiences that prepare them for tomorrow's careers. Others discover their talents through arts and creative programming that encourages self-expression and builds confidence.
The division also offers unique programs that expose students to career paths and life skills they might not otherwise experience. Youth have explored the art of barbering, learned responsibility and confidence through equestrian programs, and developed professionalism, etiquette and self-esteem through Charm School. These one-of-a-kind opportunities help students build practical skills while discovering new interests and talents.
Youth Services also believes that some of life's greatest lessons happen beyond the classroom. Through unforgettable educational travel experiences, Atlantic City students have traveled to Africa at no cost to their families, immersing themselves in new cultures, history and traditions during a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.
These investments benefit the entire community. Because a city that invests in its youth is a city investing in its future.
