Viking Week had returned to Atlantic City, bringing together Atlantic City Youth Services and Atlantic City Public Schools for a vibrant celebration of student success, opportunity, and future readiness. The annual tradition once again highlighted the city’s commitment to nurturing young people and opening doors to their potential.
The week began with a spirited Kickoff Rally held at Atlantic City High School. Students gathered in high energy, surrounded by music, cheers, and school pride that set the tone for the days ahead. The rally served as a reminder of the unity and enthusiasm that defined the school community.
Organizers designed the week to support students at every stage of their academic and career journeys. The schedule included a variety of workshops that provided guidance in essential areas such as leadership development, career exploration, personal growth, and post-graduation planning.

Panels featuring community leaders, educators, and industry professionals gave students a chance to hear real stories and practical advice. These conversations helped students better understand the pathways available to them and the skills needed to succeed in their chosen fields.
Throughout the week, students interacted with mentors and professionals who shared insights into workforce readiness, higher education options, and emerging career trends. The hands-on learning opportunities allowed participants to explore their interests and gain clarity about their goals.
Community collaboration remained at the heart of Viking Week. The partnership between Atlantic City Youth Services and Atlantic City Public Schools ensured that students had access to well-rounded programming rooted in empowerment and opportunity.

The inclusive nature of the event welcomed students from diverse backgrounds, creating a shared space for inspiration, aspiration, and connection. Each session was designed to make students feel supported and seen.
Activities had been carefully timed to build momentum throughout the week. By midweek, students had engaged in multiple sessions that expanded their understanding and strengthened their confidence.
The event reached its finale with the College & Career Fair on Thursday. Schools, universities, organizations, and employers gathered under one roof to offer resources, guidance, and real-world possibilities to Atlantic City’s youth. Students left with materials, contacts, and information that could influence their next steps.
With its dynamic programming and collaborative spirit, Viking Week once again reinforced the city’s dedication to its young people. The weeklong celebration not only honored student achievement but also empowered them to envision and pursue bright futures.
