The Atlantic City Police Department proudly welcomed 19 recruits during a recent swearing-in ceremony, marking the start of their Police Academy journey. Among them was Nimit Patel, a former Police Explorer, who exemplifies how the program inspires young individuals to pursue careers in law enforcement. As 2024 ended, Atlantic City celebrated a year of progress under Mayor Marty Small Sr.’s leadership. The city achieved 94% of its 124 goals, including a fifth consecutive tax decrease, improvements in public safety, and major infrastructure upgrades. Looking ahead, projects like the City Hall Courtyard and Pop Lloyd Stadium renovations, along with the launch of the Great Day Atlantic City initiative, signal continued growth. Mayor Small highlighted the importance of collaboration in these successes and looks forward to an even brighter 2025.

Last night, Santa Claus swapped his sleigh for a fire engine as he joined the Atlantic City Fire Department to spread holiday cheer in Bungalow Park. Riding through the neighborhood, Santa greeted families, bringing festive joy to all. It was a heartwarming evening full of community spirit, holiday lights, and smiles!

The Atlantic City Police Department celebrates Officers Dylan Imbrenda and Kenlyn Johnson for completing the rigorous 80-hour Highway Patrol Motorcycle Training program, hosted by the Philadelphia Police Department. Officer Imbrenda earned the prestigious Brian Delorenzo Award for achieving a perfect score on the road course, while Officer Johnson made history as the department’s second female motorcycle operator. The City of Atlantic City's Recreation Department, or AC Rec, brought the excitement to the Wells Fargo Center for a thrilling night of basketball, cheering on the Philadelphia Sixers. With high energy and team spirit, AC Rec made their presence felt at one of the NBA’s most iconic arenas. Ten Atlantic City first responders were recently promoted to supervisory roles in a special City Hall ceremony.
