Seniors tapped into their artistic side at February’s Ultimate Paint Party, part of the monthly Third Thursdays series. From colorful canvases to new friendships, it was a day filled with creativity and connection.

In celebration of Black History Month, Atlantic City hosted a special Day at the Movies featuring the film Six Triple Eight. The event, presented by local organizations, brought the community together for a fun and meaningful experience.

Our first Girl Scouts session was a beautiful day of crafting, goal-setting, and self-expression. We're excited to welcome more participants to join us in future sessions!

The Ohio Avenue "Second Bridge" in Atlantic City's Venice Park neighborhood reopened ahead of schedule, bringing relief to residents. The $6.85 million reconstruction project, which started in 2023, rebuilt the aging bridge and included a bike lane and new sidewalks, all funded by American Rescue Plan funds and NJDOT. Mayor Marty Small and City Engineer Uzo Ahiarakwe praised the project’s success, completed under budget and ahead of time, improving local infrastructure for years to come.

Love, laughter, and great food filled the air at Ocean View as we wrapped up Day 5 of Love of Midtown! Residents 55+ came together for a special Valentine’s Day lunch, enjoying delicious meals, fun activities, and heartfelt moments. With a packed house and a waitlist, it’s clear that community connections matter. We can’t wait to do it again on March 14th—join us!

Day 4 of Love of Midtown: Love of Art at Atlantic Cape's AC campus was an unforgettable evening of creativity and calm, where attendees painted and meditated under the guidance of The Positive Pursuit. A night of relaxation, self-expression, and artistic exploration that left everyone feeling inspired.

Everyone boarded the Great Day Bus with excitement, knowing they were in for an unforgettable adventure. From the lively chatter on the way to the Reading Terminal to the joy of exploring the market’s many wonders, it was a day full of laughter, discovery, and shared moments of happiness.

Atlantic City launched its youth services Girl Scouts session with the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern NJ and Better Tomorrows, marking a fun and empowering start for young girls. The program will run every other Tuesday, starting in February.

Ahead of the winter storm on February 11, 2025, Atlantic City officials briefed the public on critical safety measures, including snow removal, free parking at the Wave Parking Garage, and shelter provisions for those in need. With a Code Blue declaration in place, the city urged everyone to avoid unnecessary travel and stay updated via AC Alerts for the latest weather notifications.

Seniors enjoyed a day filled with fun and friendly competition at King Pin Lanes, where they gathered for a lively billiards event. The atmosphere was full of laughter as participants played, socialized, and created lasting memories. The day proved to be a wonderful reminder of the importance of staying active and connected with others in the community.

In a bold step to support local businesses, the City of Atlantic City launched its Small Business Grant Program on January 16, 2025, providing up to $10,000 in aid for businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to help small businesses recover and thrive, offering critical financial support for working capital expenses like payroll and rent. Applications are open until April 1, 2025, and an informational webinar is set for January 22, 2025.
