Homeownership can be life-changing, offering families greater stability, an opportunity to build generational wealth and a stronger foundation for the future. The Small Administration is continuing its efforts to connect Atlantic City residents with resources and opportunities that can help make that dream a reality by partnering to bring the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) and its nationally recognized “Achieve the Dream” event to the city this November.
Mayor Marty Small, Sr. is encouraging residents to attend the event at the Claridge and take advantage of NACA’s Best in America Mortgage program, which offers an alternative path to homeownership without a down payment, closing costs, fees or mortgage insurance, along with a low, fixed interest rate.
“Homeownership is critically important, and our hope is that this event will help create more homeowners right here in Atlantic City,” said Mayor Small. “With the momentum happening in our city, the nation is taking notice, and having a world-class organization like NACA bring this opportunity to our residents is tremendous. Charity starts at home, and we’re committed to doing everything we can to improve the lives of our residents. I want to see the Claridge filled with Atlantic City residents ready to take that first step and learn the roadmap to successful homeownership. This is an opportunity everyone should take seriously because owning a home can change lives and build generational wealth.”
The event is part of the Small Administration’s commitment to ensuring residents have access to programs, services and resources that can improve their quality of life. By bringing organizations like NACA directly to Atlantic City, the City is helping remove barriers, connect residents with trusted guidance and create opportunities that may otherwise seem out of reach.

During the announcement, Debra White of the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (pictured at the podium above) shared her personal experience becoming a homeowner through NACA, offering a firsthand example of how the program can help individuals navigate the path to purchasing a home.
NACA’s program is available to people of all income levels and does not consider credit scores when determining mortgage eligibility. Instead, it focuses on an applicant’s overall financial readiness and provides free assistance throughout the process. All NACA services, including workshops, counseling and access to its mortgage program, are provided at no cost.
NACA Founder and CEO Bruce Marks (pitcured at the podium below) described the program as a “solution to the homeownership crisis.” He also expressed interest in establishing a NACA office in Atlantic City, pointing to the demand for the organization’s services and the opportunity to help even more local residents.

NACA hosts “Achieve the Dream” events across the country, drawing thousands of prospective homebuyers. A recent event in Atlanta attracted approximately 5,000 people over three days, and thousands have already registered for the upcoming Atlantic City event.
The one-stop homeownership experience is designed to help participants complete four key steps in a single day:
Many participants leave the event NACA-qualified and ready to begin their home search.
