It was more than just a game, it was a celebration of connection, laughter, and pure fun as Atlantic City Senior Services hosted a spirited pool day for our local seniors.
The event welcomed residents from across the city to gather, play, and enjoy each other's company around the billiard table. The sounds of cue balls cracking, friendly chatter, and light-hearted competition filled the room throughout the day.
While Merriam-Webster might define pool as “a game played with a cue stick to strike balls on a table,” Atlantic City Senior Services proudly redefined it as a day of fun, camaraderie, and joyful engagement for our seniors.
Participants arrived wearing bright smiles and even brighter new shirts, adding color and excitement to the day. The new shirts were a hit, helping everyone feel part of something special.
Several rounds of games were played, with participants cheering each other on whether they sank every ball or missed their shot. The focus was less on winning and more on enjoying the moment and each other’s company.
The event proved once again that staying active and socially connected is not only good for physical health but also vital for emotional well-being, especially in our senior years.
Beyond the billiards, the room buzzed with stories, laughter, and a sense of shared history among peers. For some, it was a trip down memory lane; for others, a brand-new hobby discovered later in life.
