The Atlantic City Recreation Department proudly launched Rowing Year 3, marking another milestone in the city’s growing commitment to youth sports, outdoor activities, and community development through recreation.
This third year of rowing kicked off with great momentum, drawing even more excitement and participation than in previous years. The event began with strong energy and anticipation from returning athletes, new participants, and families who gathered to support the program.
Organized by AC Rec, this initiative had grown significantly, offering expanded access and greater opportunities for local youth to train, race, and thrive on the water. The program aimed not only to develop rowing skills but to instill confidence, discipline, and a sense of teamwork among the city’s young athletes.
The 2025 season featured a more robust schedule, improved equipment, and a larger network of coaches and volunteers. These enhancements reflected the department’s commitment to investing in youth recreation and building a foundation for long-term athletic development.
What made this year stand out was the increased visibility and enthusiasm from the community. Spectators, family members, and fellow residents turned out to witness the early practices and lend their support to the athletes as they prepared for upcoming races.
In collaboration with schools, city partners, and volunteers, the program also included educational sessions on water safety, physical conditioning, and team leadership. These additions provided participants with a well-rounded experience that extended beyond the water.
From the first stroke of the oars, the athletes demonstrated determination, teamwork, and pride—showcasing how much the program had evolved since its launch three years ago.
The Rowing Program continued to position Atlantic City as a hub for youth development through sport, blending athleticism with civic pride and community connection.
As the season unfolded, the excitement remained strong, with more races and milestones ahead. Residents were encouraged to follow along and support the program throughout the year.
