The City of Atlantic City closed out Women’s History Month with a memorable Women’s Excellence Awards Ceremony, celebrating the accomplishments, leadership, and impact of extraordinary women across the community.

Organized by the Mayor’s Office of Special Events, the ceremony brought together residents, community leaders, and city officials for an evening of inspiration.

This year’s honorees were:

  • Angela  Burton, a dynamic performer whose talent has enriched Atlantic City’s arts scene
  • Janet Markowitz, a dedicated small business owner and longtime community presence
  • Tina Notaro, a leader in expanding access to arts and cultural programming
  • Dr. La’Quetta Small, recognized for her commitment to educational excellence and student success
  • Rowshan Uddin, whose professional contributions and community involvement continue to make an impact
  • And a surprise sixth honoree was added during the ceremony: Hope Austin, recognized for her dedicated service and behind-the-scenes contributions to the City of Atlantic City

Each honoree was presented with a certificate, crown, and bouquet: a symbol of appreciation for their achievements and the lasting mark they have made on the community.

The ceremony served as a powerful tribute to these women, and all women, who help strengthen Atlantic City.
