“Atlantic City is red hot right now,” Mayor Marty Small, Sr. declared during a recent appearance on the nationally syndicated radio program The Breakfast Club, which streams live on Netflix.
During the interview, Mayor Small discussed his administration’s commitment to prioritizing taxpayers while investing in programs and services that improve quality of life for Atlantic City residents.
Addressing public safety, Mayor Small highlighted the City’s Clean and Safe initiatives and investments in technology designed to strengthen law enforcement efforts and help reduce crime. These tools include autonomous drones, ShotSpotter gunshot detection technology, and license plate readers.
Mayor Small also spotlighted efforts to support local entrepreneurs and strengthen Atlantic City’s small business community. Through the Economic Development Division, Great Day University provides residents with free credit empowerment and financial planning courses, while the Small Business Academy helps local business owners develop the knowledge and skills needed to grow their ventures.
Earlier this year, the City expanded its Small Business Micro Grant program to $900,000, providing financial assistance to local businesses and supporting economic activity throughout Atlantic City.
