The City of Atlantic City, led by Mayor Marty Small Sr., commemorated Memorial Day with a touching ceremony held at the Saracini-O'Neill 9/11 Memorial. The gathering was a moving tribute to the brave men and women who have given their lives in defense of the country.

Set against the backdrop of the city’s 9/11 memorial, the ceremony brought together city officials, veterans, families, and community members to reflect on the meaning of sacrifice, service, and remembrance.

Mayor Small and other city leaders delivered remarks that emphasized the importance of remembering those who served and honoring their legacy not just on Memorial Day, but every day.

The event marked the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend, reminding residents and visitors alike of the true significance behind the holiday.

The Saracini-O'Neill 9/11 Memorial, named in honor of local heroes, provided a poignant and powerful setting for the ceremony. Attendees were encouraged to pause, reflect, and pay their respects to those who gave their lives for freedom.

The City also announced an additional Memorial Day Observance, which was scheduled for the following day at the All Wars Memorial Building located at 1510 Adriatic Avenue. This observance aimed to further honor the memory of all fallen service members across generations and conflicts.

These ceremonies are part of Atlantic City’s ongoing commitment to recognize and uplift the stories of veterans and fallen soldiers, ensuring their bravery and service are never forgotten.

Residents and visitors who attended the event shared a sense of unity, patriotism, and deep appreciation for those who have defended our nation.

The City of Atlantic City extended its gratitude to all who participated in the ceremonies and encouraged continued support for military families and veteran communities throughout the year.
