This past August, the Midtown Atlantic City CDC brought movement, music, and connection to the heart of the community with a series of Summer Dance Classes at Brown’s Park. Held every Thursday evening at 6 PM, the program offered residents a chance to enjoy the warm summer nights in a fun and energetic way.

The classes were led by AC Soul Line Dancer Tiffani Drinks, whose engaging style and enthusiasm inspired participants of all ages to step out onto the dance floor. Each week, neighbors gathered to learn new steps, improve their rhythm, and simply enjoy each other’s company in a welcoming and inclusive space.

Brown’s Park served as the perfect backdrop for the weekly sessions, providing an open-air setting that encouraged both movement and mingling. Families, friends, and even passersby joined in the fun, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere throughout the park.

Participants didn’t need prior dance experience to join — the sessions were open to everyone, from beginners to seasoned dancers. The goal was simple: to get the community moving, smiling, and spending quality time together.

In addition to learning line dancing techniques, attendees experienced the health benefits of regular physical activity, from improved coordination to increased energy. The program also highlighted the value of outdoor gatherings, especially in fostering stronger neighborhood connections.

The final class of the month wrapped up with heartfelt thanks from Midtown Atlantic City CDC and Tiffani Drinks to everyone who attended and made the series a success. Their appreciation extended to the volunteers and staff who helped make each session possible.

The Summer Dance Classes were more than just a recreational activity — they were a celebration of community spirit. By bringing people together in a positive, uplifting environment, Midtown Atlantic City CDC demonstrated the power of local initiatives to enrich lives and strengthen bonds.

Through music, movement, and togetherness, the program added another memorable chapter to the story of Brown’s Park as a place where Atlantic City residents can come together, connect, and create lasting memories.

The series concluded with an open invitation for residents to look forward to future community events that promote health, joy, and unity.
