For Atlantic City residents looking to build a brighter future, the Job Readiness & Employment Resource Program is here to help. Designed for those who are unemployed, looking to upskill, or seeking better opportunities, the program removes barriers to employment by combining training, career exploration, and hands-on certifications.

What the Program Offers

  • Soft Skills Training – Teamwork, communication, time management, adaptability, problem-solving
  • Workplace Readiness – 16-hour, in-person training required before advanced certification courses
  • Career Exploration with MECA System – Career planning, assessments, and hands-on projects
  • Hospitality Certifications – Courses from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute:
    • Front Desk Representative (CFDR)
    • Guestroom Attendant (CGA)
    • Restaurant Server (CRS)
    • Maintenance Employee (CME)
    • Kitchen Cook (CKC)
    • Breakfast Attendant (CBA)
    • Guest Service Gold
  • Ongoing Support – Job interview referrals, career planning, and resources for long-term employment success

Beyond Skills: Building Careers

The program also provides personal development resources like The Success Profiler, Winning Colors, Financial Success tools, and anxiety management strategies — ensuring participants don’t just land a job, but build sustainable careers.

Place:  Atlantic City Police Athletic League, 250 N. New York Ave.
Date & Time: Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
