Atlantic City Youth Services proudly completed the first day of its Equestrian Program, marking an exciting start for students from Seashore Leadership Academy as they embarked on their journey into the world of horseback riding.
The session introduced participants to the basics of caring for and riding horses, providing hands-on experience that combined education, discipline, and fun. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, the young riders learned about safety, grooming, and the proper techniques for handling and saddling horses.
Throughout the day, the students showed great enthusiasm and curiosity, engaging fully in every activity. Their eagerness to learn reflected a genuine appreciation for both the animals and the lessons that come with responsibility and teamwork.
The program emphasized not only riding skills but also respect, patience, and empathy — values that form the foundation of equestrian training and personal growth.
Parents and staff were proud to see the children step out of their comfort zones, showing confidence and courage as they took their first rides.
The Equestrian Program is part of Atlantic City Youth Services’ continued effort to offer unique and enriching opportunities that promote learning beyond the classroom.
Through this program, students develop essential life skills such as focus, care, and perseverance, while enjoying the thrill of connecting with nature and animals.
The success of the first day set a strong foundation for what promises to be a meaningful and transformative experience for every participant.
