Atlantic City's young athletes recently hit the courts with passion and purpose as they took part in the Jr. NBA camp at the MLK Complex.

Decked out in official NBA uniforms, the kids were affectionately dubbed the Atlantic City Sixers, a local twist that celebrated both their enthusiasm and hometown pride.

The camp, led by the Atlantic City Recreation Department (AC Rec), focused on building core basketball skills and drills, encouraging participants to grow both on and off the court.

Through structured training sessions, youth players worked on their fundamentals—dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense—under the guidance of dedicated coaches and mentors.

More than just physical training, the Jr. NBA camp also emphasized sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline, helping to shape confident and respectful young leaders in the community.

Parents and families showed up in support, turning each session into a lively celebration of youth development and community engagement.

AC Rec maintained an updated feed of the team standings and camp highlights, encouraging residents to follow along and cheer for their neighborhood teams.

The energy at the MLK Complex was electric, with kids embracing their roles as future stars and community ambassadors.

By participating in this nationally recognized program, Atlantic City youth experienced firsthand what it means to dream big, work hard, and represent their city with pride.

To catch up on the latest results and relive the action, residents were encouraged to follow AC Rec on social media for updates and ongoing youth programs.
