The City of Atlantic City extended a huge thank you to the NJ Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) for providing critical support during the recent nor’easter. The CRDA generously loaned the Atlantic City Convention Center to serve as a temporary shelter and meal site for residents affected by the storm, offering a safe space and warm meals to those in need.
City officials expressed deep appreciation for the partnership and community spirit demonstrated by CRDA during one of the most challenging weather events of the season. Their quick response and willingness to assist made a significant difference in the city’s emergency relief efforts.
The City of Atlantic City Government also recognized the outstanding contributions of Ocean Casino Resort and Showboat Hotel Atlantic City, which provided meals to the city’s First Responders as they worked tirelessly around the clock to protect residents and visitors. Their generosity ensured that essential personnel were well-supported while performing their critical duties throughout the storm.
Mayor Marty Small Sr. and city leaders highlighted that such partnerships showcase the unity and compassion within the Atlantic City community. During times of crisis, collaboration among local organizations, businesses, and government entities strengthens the city’s resilience and reinforces the shared commitment to public safety.
The city noted that it was grateful to have community partners who consistently step up when help is needed most. These efforts demonstrated the true meaning of community care—neighbors, institutions, and leaders working together for the greater good.
As recovery efforts continued, the City of Atlantic City reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with local partners to support residents and ensure the city remains #ACStrong in the face of challenges.
