Atlantic City Seniors Enjoyed a Fun and Educational Soap and Loofah-Making Workshop

The Atlantic City Senior Services team successfully hosted another engaging and educational activity for the community’s older adults. This time, seniors participated in a Soap and Loofah-Making Workshop that blended creativity, learning, and fun.

Partnering with CROPS Nonprofit, the program aimed to provide seniors with an opportunity to explore new hobbies while fostering social connections and hands-on learning experiences. The collaboration reflected a shared commitment to promoting health, creativity, and lifelong learning within Atlantic City’s senior community.

Participants were delighted to discover that loofahs are actually plants, similar to cucumbers, and not sea sponges as many had believed. The session sparked curiosity and laughter as attendees shaped, mixed, and created their own personalized soaps and loofahs.
