The Atlantic City Police Department marked an important milestone as it proudly announced a series of promotions within its ranks. This ceremonial moment, held at City Hall Council Chambers, was led by Mayor Marty Small, who administered the oath of office to the newly promoted officers.

Promoted to the position of Deputy Chief of Police were Andrew Leonard and Christian Garofalo, both recognized for their years of dedicated service, leadership, and commitment to public safety. Their elevation reflects the department’s confidence in their ability to lead with integrity and vision.

Frank Ingargiola was promoted to Lieutenant of Police, a role that comes with greater responsibility in operational command and officer development. His promotion highlights a continued investment in strong, experienced leadership within the department.

Rising to the rank of Sergeant of Police were Nicholas Berardis and Jeffrey Hannon, both of whom have shown unwavering dedication to duty. As sergeants, they will play a critical role in supervising officers on the ground and upholding the high standards of the ACPD.

These promotions came in the wake of several recent retirements, allowing a new generation of leadership to step forward and carry on the department's mission of protecting and serving the Atlantic City community.

During the ceremony, Mayor Small, city officials, and fellow officers offered their congratulations and words of encouragement to the newly promoted individuals and their proud families. The atmosphere at City Hall was filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

The City of Atlantic City Government, alongside the ACPD, celebrated this special occasion not only as a personnel update but as a moment to reaffirm the department’s strength and readiness for the future.

These newly promoted leaders are stepping into roles that will shape the future of law enforcement in Atlantic City, continuing a legacy of service, honor, and commitment to the community.

The city extends its sincere congratulations to all the promoted officers and their families on this well-deserved recognition. Their advancement is a testament to hard work, leadership, and the trust placed in them to serve at a higher level.
