The City of Atlantic City Multicultural Services launched its 2025 Summer Camp with a vibrant and activity-filled start. Over the first two weeks, campers dove into a variety of creative, cultural, and recreational experiences that built friendships and sparked imagination.
During Week 1, campers decorated their own water bottles to promote healthy hydration throughout the summer. They also crafted friendship bracelets, encouraging connection and self-expression from the very beginning of the camp experience.
One of the most anticipated moments of the week was meeting Milly the Multicultural Bear, the official camp mascot, who brought joy and excitement to the entire group.
The week continued with a special visit to the Noyes Arts Garage, where campers learned about pointillism and created vibrant dot-inspired artwork. It was a hands-on way to explore visual arts while learning new techniques.
Campers ended Week 1 with a sunny and fun-filled Beach Day, where they soaked up the rays, played in the sand, and enjoyed quality time as a group by the Atlantic City shore.
In Week 2, campers celebrated their individuality by creating collage self-portraits, reflecting on what makes each of them unique and special.
Midweek brought big thrills as the group headed to Steel Pier, where the children experienced exciting rides and amusement park fun in the heart of Atlantic City.
Later in the week, the campers explored WheatonArts in Millville, where they witnessed a live glassblowing demonstration, toured pottery studios, and admired stunning displays of glass and ceramic art.
The summer program blended creativity, culture, and community, offering children a meaningful and fun-filled way to spend their break.
The Multicultural Services team looked forward to more adventures in the weeks to come, with the goal of fostering curiosity, confidence, and joy in every camper.
