On Tuesday, August 26th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., the All Wars Memorial Building on Adriatic Avenue will transform into a vibrant hub of innovation, culture, and opportunity as the city presents its first-ever Black Business Expo.
The FREE event, held during National Black Business Month, will spotlight local Black-owned businesses, foster economic empowerment, and connect entrepreneurs with the tools and resources they need to grow and thrive.
Vendor Marketplace – Dozens of Black-owned businesses will showcase their products and services in a dedicated exhibition space.
Live Radio Broadcast – We Have Gospel will stream live from the event, hosted by Councilman Kaleem Shabazz and Council President Sporty Randolph. Their show will feature on-site interviews with local entrepreneurs, giving them an even wider platform to share their stories.
Atlantic City’s Black Business Legacy – Ralph Hunter Sr., Founder of the African American Heritage Museum of South Jersey, will present an exhibit on the city’s rich history of Black entrepreneurship, with a focus on the thriving Northside business district of the past and the lessons it offers today.
Economic Empowerment and Growth – Dr. John E. Harmon Sr., IOM, Founder, President, and CEO of the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey (AACCNJ), will lead discussions with local entrepreneurs on challenges, opportunities, and the future of business in Atlantic City.
The evening will also mark the launch of Atlantic City’s new Micro-Business Grant Program. Earlier this year, Mayor Marty Small Sr. dedicated $500,000 to fund minority-, women-, and veteran-owned startups and expansions. Grant applications will open that night, making the Expo a must-attend event for any entrepreneur seeking funding.
This isn’t just an expo , it’s your chance to get in the room where opportunity happens.
Whether you’re an established entrepreneur, just starting out, or simply passionate about supporting local, the Black Business Expo puts you at the center of Atlantic City’s small business revival.
