Atlantic City Explores Potential Ferry Service

‍ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Atlantic City is exploring another potential way to connect with visitors, as DEEM Enterprises recently presented a vision for a New York City-to-Atlantic City ferry rountruip service during a meeting with Mayor Marty Small, Sr., City officials and local stakeholders.

The proposed service would operate between New York City and the Farley State Marina at Golden Nugget Atlantic City, with an estimated round-trip fare of approximately $150. If planning and logistics continue to move forward as envisioned, the service could potentially become a reality as early as summer 2027.

DEEM also used the meeting to outline its vision for the redevelopment of Bader Field, connecting the potential ferry service to its larger plans for Atlantic City.

While the ferry remains a proposal at this stage, the discussion is another example of Atlantic City continuing to reinvent itself and explore new ideas that can strengthen its future. New transportation options could bring additional visitors into the city while creating opportunities for Atlantic City’s casinos, restaurants, entertainment venues, small businesses and other attractions.

Perhaps just as important is the collaboration taking place around these ideas. City officials, developers, casino representatives, business leaders and community stakeholders are increasingly coming together with a shared goal: putting Atlantic City in the strongest possible position to succeed.

Atlantic City is continuing to look beyond what has traditionally defined the destination and find new ways to attract visitors, encourage investment and support its existing businesses. The potential ferry service is one more concept being explored as the city works to build an even stronger future for those who live, work, visit and invest in Atlantic City.
