The City of Atlantic City recently completed a vital emergency management training course led by the FEMA Federal Emergency Management Agency and delivered by the New Jersey Incident Management Team under the New Jersey State Police.
Held last week, the hands-on training brought together our Public Safety and Law Enforcement agencies, along with other City departments that respond to emergencies and manage large-scale special events. Participants included the Atlantic City Police Department and the Atlantic City Office of Emergency Management.
This intensive course focused on improving interdepartmental coordination, strategic decision-making, and real-time response to emergency scenarios. It emphasized the importance of trained leadership to ensure faster response times, clearer communication, and safer outcomes for everyone in Atlantic City.
Realistic drills and scenario-based exercises allowed teams to strengthen their operational readiness, resource management, and unified command techniques.
By completing this training, Atlantic City is now better prepared to respond quickly and effectively when emergencies strike. This initiative reflects our continued investment in public safety and commitment to protecting the people of our city.
