The City of Atlantic City officially expanded its commitment to sustainability by installing six new EV charging stations at City Hall, located at 1301 Bacharach Boulevard. These chargers became publicly available and provided local drivers with a convenient, eco-friendly option to power their vehicles in the heart of the city.

The newly installed stations included four DC Fast Chargers and two Level 2 Chargers, all of which could be accessed via the ChargePoint app. Designed to accommodate a variety of electric vehicles, these stations were introduced to support Atlantic City's growing green infrastructure and help combat transportation-related emissions.

Transportation is one of the leading contributors to greenhouse gas emissions in urban areas. By offering modern charging solutions in a central location, the city demonstrated a proactive approach to environmental responsibility and urban innovation.

The chargers operated under standard charging rates, easily viewable within the app, and served as an important public resource for both residents and visitors who rely on electric transportation.

This milestone aligned with Atlantic City’s broader environmental goals, including reducing carbon emissions, encouraging cleaner energy adoption, and improving air quality. The charging stations represented not just technological progress, but also a cultural shift toward more sustainable urban living.

City leadership emphasized that these efforts were part of a long-term commitment to enhancing green transportation infrastructure and providing the tools needed for residents to make cleaner driving choices.

The installation of these EV chargers also complemented other sustainability initiatives already underway in Atlantic City, reflecting a unified strategy for environmental resilience.

By making these stations publicly available, the city took a meaningful step toward accessibility, equity, and environmental justice in clean energy.

With the addition of these EV chargers, the City of Atlantic City reaffirmed its dedication to building a cleaner, greener future, one charge at a time.
