The City of Atlantic City recently celebrated one of its most anticipated annual traditions—Bring Your Child to Work Day. The event gave children a rare behind-the-scenes look at how their parents and guardians serve the community.
The day kicked off at City Hall, where the young guests were welcomed with a special meet & greet inside the Mayor's conference room. The kids were all smiles as they sat where decisions are made and heard firsthand how local government works.
Later, the group headed to Bader Field for a series of exciting demonstrations. The Atlantic City Police Department and Atlantic City Fire Department showcased their skills and tools through drone, K9, motorcycle, and other public safety presentations. The children had the opportunity to interact with officers, learn about emergency management, and even get a close look at police and fire equipment.
This year’s Bring Your Child to Work Day not only highlighted the important work of the city’s public servants but also fostered a greater understanding and appreciation among the next generation.
