A new public space is bringing beauty, art and community connection to Atlantic City.
The now opened MBCA Park at Pacific and North Carolina Avenues is an example of what can happen when the public sector, private businesses, community organizations and local leaders work together toward a shared vision.
For Atlantic City residents and visitors, the park creates another welcoming space to spend time in the city. It adds beauty to the neighborhood while providing a place for people to gather, connect and enjoy their surroundings.

But perhaps just as important as the finished park is the collaboration that made it possible.
The City of Atlantic City provided the land, helping create the foundation for the project. From there, a broad group of partners and investors came together to help transform the space into something the entire community can enjoy.
Funding support was secured with the help of State Senator Vince Polistina, George Norcross and AtlantiCare, demonstrating the impact that can come when community leaders and institutions invest in Atlantic City's public spaces.
The park's artistic elements add another special touch. MudGirls Studios contributed to the center's decorations, while the Atlantic City Arts Foundation played an important role in bringing artwork and artists into the project, with Ocean Casino Resort providing support to pay for the artwork.

Additional partnerships with the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA), Midtown CDC and others further strengthened the effort.
Public spaces like MBCA Park matter because they contribute to the everyday quality of life in a city. They give residents places to gather outside of their homes, provide visitors with another reason to explore neighborhoods beyond the Boardwalk, and create opportunities to showcase local art and community pride.
